Eyewear is a masterpiece of the culture, inventiveness and craftsmanship of master crystal workers from the Veneto region, who set up a guild in Venice in 1284, where they also produced other items.

Today, this kind of manufacturing work is based in the mountain area of Cadore (in the province of Belluno, Italy), where products are made and then distributed all over the world, renowned for their effectiveness as medical products as well as for the stylish design.

This heritage must be protected against fakes, against counterfeit brands and harmful products.

For this reason, the Veneto region together with other local operators has decided to impose stricter checks to guarantee the quality and safety of eyewear.
