Turnover
In line with production, turnover keeps growing (+4.9%). Big companies performed better (+8.3%) while micro-enterprises suffered a 2.3% decrease.
A sector-by-sector analysis highlights that: the highest increase has been registered by rubber and plastics (+8.3%), and growth was also observed in the metals and metal products and the machinery and equipment (both +6.9%), in the electrical and electronic machinery (+6.4%) and in the textiles, clothing and footwear (+4.5%).
Thriving trends in turnover are mainly due to exports increasing by 8.1% (big companies +11%, medium-sized enterprises +8.7%), thanks to rubber and plastics (+17.1%) and machinery and equipment (+10.2%).
Domestic turnover grew by 3.3% (big companies +4.8%), significantly influenced by metals and metal products (+6.2%) and electrical and electronic machinery (+6.1%), while the wood and furniture sector experienced a 0.9% decrease.
Orders
Orders keep growing with a 3.3% year-on-year increase (big companies +6.4%, micro-enterprises -2.3%). The most significant growth was seen in the machinery and equipment (+7%), metals and metal products (+5.9%) and rubber and plastics (+4.5%).
Foreign orders rose as well (+6.1%), especially in big companies (+7.1%). The sector-by-sector comparison showed that the highest growth was in the machinery and equipment sector (+10.9%).
Domestic orders grew less (overall +2.1%, big companies +5.5%). The best performing sectors were metals and metal products (+5.5%) and electrical and electronic machinery (+5.1%).
