Strong cooperation with the United Arab Emirates lies behind Garda Endurance Lifestyle, the event taking place in Peschiera del Garda from 1 to 4 July 2010: it will not just create economic opportunities through sport, but also demonstrate how endurance horse racing – that is, a sports speciality consisting in an actual horse marathon – and its development in Italy are considered important values in the Gulf countries.

Confirmation of that can be found in this event moving from Assisi to Peschiera del Garda and relevant support by Dubai Equestrian Club, the large organisation connected with the royal family of Dubai, in particular HH Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum who is the Prime Minister and Vice President of the United Arab Emirates, as well as the Ruler of Dubai. He has a strong interest in horses and promotes endurance horse racing all over the world.

It was HH Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum who pursued the creation of Dubai Equestrian Club, aimed to coordinate all the Olympic and non-Olympic horse specialities he promotes in the Arab United States and everywhere else. The only exception is represented by the gallop area of expertise, already covered by the legendary Godolphin.

Dubai Equestrian Club board is chaired by HRH Haya bint Al Hussein of Jordan, Sheikh Mohammed’s wife as well as president of the International Equestrian Federation and world-class rider who participated in noteworthy races, both in show jumping and endurance races.
Dubai Equestrian Club’s vice president is Saeed Al Tayer, chairman of Meydan City.

Dubai Equestrian Club backs Garda Endurance Lifestyle guided by the important goal which has been pursued for years together with Gianluca Laliscia and Umbria Endurance Equestrian Team, exclusive contacts for Italy.

The above-mentioned goal was achieved and evolved as time went by, through a series of events in the Umbria region and in Costa Smeralda, while this time they reached Peschiera del Garda.


Garda Endurance Lifestyle 2010 will take place in Peschiera del Garda from 1 to 4 July 2010 as a completely new event in the area of Verona.
Endurance horse races will be accompanied by a parallel programme allowing the local economy to get in touch with emerging markets.
Sport and business will therefore work side by side with the aim of promoting the Garda area and its resources.
The combination among endurance horse racing, economy and international relations has already been successful: Assisi Endurance Lifestyle is a fitting example in Italy, since it confirmed this crucial event’s strength and potential last year as well. The organizers from the Garda area succeeded in moving it to a central territory as for interests and opportunities, whose heart is represented by the town of Peschiera del Garda.
