Trevisosystem.com presents its brand new Chinese version promoting local companies in the East, towards new markets such as Russia, Japan and China: the Russian and Japanese versions were previously released and are currently online.

The themes dealt with in this new project range over economy, art, sport, corporate social responsibility (CSR) and local enterprises, displayed in the TvDotCom also in Chinese: it is a database of 1300 small to large companies from different sectors, available for free thanks to the support of Treviso Chamber of Commerce.

The importance of Eastern markets - above all China - to our economy could pass through the Internet in order to present the qualities of this territory and its production excellences.

This project was carried out with the collaboration of Ca’ Foscari University of Venice – Faculty of Foreign Languages and Literature and the contribution of professors who are native speakers of Chinese.

A new graphic layout was introduced, and contents were tailored to Chinese users’ interests:
- The economy of the province of Treviso, with the translation of reports edited by the Ufficio Studi of Treviso Chamber of Commerce;
- the companies in the province of Treviso, with the TvDotCom database and a specific search engine;
- sports issues, with basketball being a common interest for both Treviso people and Chinese readers;
- the arts, with the exhibition I segreti della Città Proibita. Matteo Ricci alla corte dei Ming (The secrets of the Forbidden City. Matteo Ricci at the Ming Court), which Chinese authorities know well due to the honours received (the translation of an exclusive interview to the curator Mr Adriano Màdaro is available in the new Chinese section).

Furthermore, the ethical and professional values of trevisosystem.com are summarised in the Chinese translation of the recently published "Social Responsibility Charter".
